In Photoshop or AfterEffects, it’s often necessary to create some sort of visual “eye candy” to keep the viewer watching. While there are a number of tools to create wallpaper, for inspiration (and a more authentic appearance), I look at the Astronomy Picture of the Day. Surprising how many of these look like a gradient of color, a twist of levels, random noise and a few filters.
