Screenings, Streaming & Preening

A picture named farmtech.jpgIn class tonight, we’ll be screening Paul DeNigris’ The Falls in preparation for his presentation NEXT Wednesday night. We’ll also take a look at MCC Art Instructor Joanne Caroselli’s’ Tony, Tony Stick Around. These independent digital films give you an idea of what is possible in contemporary independent film production.

Ross Ingle will then talk about how he uses streaming media on his website for his music. He’ll talk technical and aesthetics. We’ll also discuss the final student projects, the Michael Dean DVD and upcoming presentation and prepare for the end of semester!

And, from my home town, an exciting event this fall! Farm Technology Days will be held in late September. Ironically, in a meeting last night we were discussing how technology requirements are rising in every (academic) area. I see now I was terribly short-sighted. Obviously, it isn’t just limited to academia!
